Axis Bank Select Credit Card Review

For those who prefer shopping in stores, the Axis Bank SELECT Credit Card is a highly rewarding option as it offers double the rewards on retail shopping. The best part is that you can earn high rewards across all offline transactions, as the accelerated rewards on retail spends are not limited to specific categories.
Moreover, the cardholders receive 6 complimentary international lounge visits and 6 more on reaching annual spends of ₹3 lakh, making it extremely beneficial considering the card's annual fee. Additionally, this card covers a wide range of everyday spending categories as it offers discounts on BookMyShow, Swiggy, and BigBasket. However, the catalogue redemption, as well as air mile conversion, lacks good redemption value, making it easier for the user to accumulate substantial reward points, but the value back against those rewards could have been better. Furthermore, as the card offers up to 12 international lounge visits in a year, having a low forex mark-up fee would have added value for travellers.

2. Axis Bank suspends reward redemptions for credit cards used for Business Spends

Axis Bank has suspended reward redemptions for some credit cardholders and is requesting invoices to verify travel spending. The bank believes that some cardholders are misusing reward points by using their cards for business expenses, which is against the terms of the cardholder agreement. Axis Bank says that this is a routine exercise to monitor suspicious spending, but some genuine cardholders have also been flagged. Experts recommend using separate business credit cards to avoid such problems.
