HDFC Diners Club Black Metal Edition Credit Card Review

The HDFC Diners Club Black Metal Edition Credit Card is a premium credit card that caters to high-income individuals who frequently spend on travel, dining, and entertainment. This credit card offers a wide range of benefits and rewards.

The card provides a decent reward rate of 3.3%, which is capped at 75,000 per statement cycle. However, it charges a high annual fee of ₹10,000 plus taxes, which can be waived if you spend ₹8 lakh in the preceding 12 months.

It is essential to make the most of the card's benefits to offset the cost.

However, the card's network acceptance can be challenging, particularly in offline stores.

Is the HDFC Diners Club Black Metal Credit Card worth it?

Comparing the HDFC Diners Club Metal Credit Card with its basic version, the Diners Club Black Credit Card, we can see that the joining and annual charges are the same. The only difference is the annual fee waiver, which is available on spending ₹5 lakh in 12 Months for the Diners Club Black and ₹8 lakh for the Diners Club Black Metal edition card. Moreover, the Metal version offers better milestone benefits than the latter.

Whether or not the HDFC Diners Club Black Metal Credit Card is worth it depends on your individual needs and spending habits. If you are a high-spender who travels frequently and enjoys exclusive lifestyle benefits, then this card may be worth the high annual fee. However, if you are not a big spender or do not travel frequently, then consider a different credit card with a lower annual fee and more widespread acceptance.

The HDFC Diners Club Black Metal Credit Card is ideal for:

  • Business executives who frequently travel for work and enjoy staying at luxury hotels.
