The account maintenance charge (AMC) for Demat account charged by Bajaj Finserv Securities is free for the first year; from the second year onwards, it is Rs. 365+GST for Demat accounts opened with the Freedom Subscription Plan. The AMC charge is zero for the Professional Pack and Bajaj Privilege Club plan.

The first step to start trading in the share market is by opening a demat account. A Demat Account is an online account that holds financial securities such as shares, bonds, mutual funds, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), etc. in an electronic form.

To open a Demat account with Bajaj Finserv Securities Limited, you can follow the below steps:

Step 1. Click on to open an account.

Step 2. Enter your basic details which will include your name, phone number, email id and PAN Number (A PAN card is mandatory for opening a Demat and Trading Account).

Step 3. Enter details of the bank account which will be linked to your Demat and Trading Account. This will enable you to transfer money between the linked bank account and the trading account.

Step 4. From the options available, you can choose the free plan or any other mentioned plan depending on the brokerage that you wish to avail.

Step 5. KYC documents, you will be required to upload the soft copy of your PAN card, cancelled cheque, address proof, and your signature handy. For address proof, you can use one of the following documents: Aadhar Card, Voter ID Card, Passport or Driving License.

Step 6. In IPV (In-Person Verification) your video is required. You can record it directly on the recording window that will be provided or upload a pre-recorded video for the same.

Step 7. You can review all the details entered and e-sign the form through your Aadhar number. You will be asked to enter the OTP sent to your Aadhar linked mobile number to validate.

No, Bajaj Finserv  is not free. They charge account opening fees of ? 431 and does not charge AMC. Bajaj does have various plans that have subscription charges.

To close your Bajaj Demat account the following details must be furnished with the account closure form:

  1. Your ID and your Depository Participant ID.

  2. KYC details like name and address that match with details submitted to Bajaj.

  3. The reason for closing the demat account.

  4. Ensure that there are no dues on your account as well as no untraded securities.

  5. A bank employee must mandatorily submit and verify the self-attested identity proof copy.

For investing in securities and opening a trading or demat account, you must be at least 18 years of age. However, in case you are a minor who is interested in trading in securities, a demat account can be opened in the name of a minor by the natural guardians (like parents) or the court-appointed guardian.

To withdraw money from the Bajaj account (BFSLTRADE app), proceed with the following steps.

  1. Log in to your Trading and Demat account

  2. Click on “Menu”

  3. Go to “Limit/Fund Transfer”

  4. Click on “Withdraw Funds”. Check the withdrawable amount

  5. Enter the amount to be withdrawn and click on “Withdraw Funds”.
