The processing time for a credit card application depends on bank to bank but typically takes anywhere from 7 to 14 business days. However, it may take longer if any documents are missing or if the bank puts the application on hold due to other unspecified reasons.

Don’t lose heart if your application gets rejected. Check the reasons behind the rejection and apply again after addressing them.

While it's possible to reapply immediately, it may negatively impact your credit score. It's recommended that the reasons for rejection be addressed first. And it’s best to wait at least 90 days before reapplying for a credit card after a rejection.

Once your application is approved, you will receive a notification either via email, or SMS. After its status changes to “Approved” on your online account or app, your physical card will also be dispatched to your address soon.
